Before starting, make sure group is well spaced out. Use the whole available space. Start practising the backhand lift-every pupil has a racket and shuttle as high as possible in the air using the backhand only.
Progress by working in pairs-feeder slowly throws the shuttles and their partner hits a backhand lift as far and as high as possible. After that, the feeder runs back to baseline and tries to catch the shuttle. The feeder cannot move until the shuttle is struck.
In this activity, increase difficulty by adding movement as and when appropriate.
