A total of 142 countries across five Continental Confederations have now successfully implemented the BWF Shuttle Time Schools Programme with the addition of Azerbaijan, Burundi and USA in 2021.
The programme has successfully trained and educated 59,424 teachers worldwide.
Recently, the Shuttle Time resource material published its 22nd language – Czech – which allows teachers with limited experience to introduce badminton related skills, movements and tactics to pupils through a variety of fun games and activities.
At the end of last month, Czech Badminton and Czech National Olympic Committee delivered a Shuttle Time seminar to promote the programme. With the support from BWF and Czech Badminton, the Shuttle Time Teachers Manual, Lesson Plan and Inclusivity Guide for Teachers are now available in Czech. The translated resources will benefit the local community in the country, where there are currently 629 certified Czech Shuttle Time teachers.
The Shuttle Time Mobile App in Czech will be available soon.
