The BWF Shuttle Time Youth Leadership Workshop has been designed to allow 16-18 year old school students the opportunity gain experience in sports leadership and badminton through Shuttle Time. The award aims to provide students with the knowledge and support required to deliver fun, safe and enjoyable badminton lessons to groups of school pupils.
With 130+ countries implementing the programme around the world, 50.000 teachers trained, and 20+ languages available, Shuttle Time keeps supporting the principle that children should lead a healthy and active life, both in and out of school. BWF’s goal is to make badminton one of the world’s most popular and accessible school sports.
BWF Shuttle Time Youth Leadership Workshop Guidelines for Teachers is now available online and free to downloads. The resource provides a guideline to certified BWF Shuttle Time Teacher, who have practical experience of delivering Shuttle Time activities and the necessary competencies to deliver the Shuttle Time Youth Leadership Award.
The Shuttle Time Youth Leadership Workshop covers both badminton and leadership tasks and is delivered in a modular format. The course can be broken down into 5 core modules and 2 supplementary modules which are all linked to the Shuttle Time Programme. The course can be delivered over a number of weeks, or over 2 full days.
