The programme had successfully trained and educated 54,709 teachers worldwide.
Recently, the Shuttle Time resource material published its 21st language – Bengali – which allows teachers with limited experience to introduce badminton related skills, movements and tactics to pupils through a variety of fun games and activities. Other existing languages are English, French, Spanish, German, Arabic, Persian, Chinese, Italian, Portuguese, Estonian, Hungarian, Polish, Russian, Serbian, Slovenian, Slovak, Indonesian, Swedish, Tajik and Dutch.
The Shuttle Time Teachers Manual consists 10 modules. These modules help teachers to:
- Improve their badminton knowledge
- Plan badminton lessons
- Deliver fun, safe and enjoyable badminton lessons to groups of children
- Deliver a healthy and positive sporting experience to school students
The Shuttle Time programme includes 22 free Lesson Plans. These plans are split into four sections, beginning with 10 Starter Lessons aimed at pupils with little or no badminton experience. Each section builds on skills introduced in previous lessons.
The resources are complemented with the 92 free instructional video clips in English, French, Spanish and Arabic, which are available on the BWF Development Youtube channel currently with more than 3.6 millions viewers.
